If so, try force closing the Garmin Connect app (Settings -> Apps -> Garmin Connect -> Force stop) and opening it again. Hey I think this might have been it! I'm not completely sure since I made some app permission changes on phone yesterday and didnt try if it worked after that. But this or that it works now!
